Even though I’m somewhat annoyed at the moment after my last post explaining that “IMReportCard No Longer Pays Cash For Credits“, I did come online today to some good news.

Cashcrate isn’t my favorite site just because… they’re my favorite site to make money online because they continue to go above and beyond to make the site better and better, which will only assist their members in making more money.

I logged into Cashcrate today to find some very exciting new changes.

The Cashcrate message center has now been revamped! The message center can be used to contact your referrer and ask for help on how to make money with Cashcrate or to contact your referrals, and help them make money as well. It was totally redone and includes the following features!

1. You can format (bold, italics, underline, etc) your messages and add links (html)!

2. Threaded view! (See a history of the back and forth messages between you and the other party involved.)

3. You get messages when a welcome message/referral message is approved/denied. And they will tell you why it was denied so you can edit it and try again.

4. You can control which referrals get your messages. This is great because you can send messages to only your inactive or recently inactive referrals, etc.

5. Usernames! You can now identify people from their usernames instead of just ID#. This feature can build a more friendly atmosphere between referrers and referrals because instead of calling someone #27268272, they can now be called “Johnny”, or whatever name they sign up to Cashcrate with.

In my last post, I stated that “IMReportCard Removed Their Referral Program“.

I was angry that there was no official email about it, and no member of staff posted in the thread started on the IMRC forum.

Well, today, I got my answer… and unfortunately, it’s NOT a good one.

Here is the official email sent out by the Admin of IMReportCard.

I want to call your intention to a very important update at IM Report Card that took effect moments ago.

When IMRC launched last year, we really needed as many people as possible to participate so the site could get enough reviews, comments, and grades to be useful and meaningful. So we devised the credit system as a method to incentivize people to come to IMRC and use it. As you know, we also allowed people to “cash out” their credits for cold hard paypal cash.

Today we are revising the credit-based incentive system. You can no longer cash out your credits for cash. Unfortunately, we just had too much fraud when cash was involved.

Instead, you will be able to earn status icons based on your credits earned, and will be able to use your credits as virtual currency to purchase some selected internet marketing materials, or gain access to certain internet marketing sites that you would normally have to pay to access. We’re still working on rolling out this revised system so there are no other details to share right now.

Rest assured, those hard-earned credits will still have value.

In addition, we’ve also added a new free eBook on the homepage to encourage people to become members. All current members like yourself can download the ebook from the IMRC homepage simply by entering your name and the email address that received this email. You should be able to click a link to download that eBook immediately if you are logged in.

We really appreciate your continued participation as a member of the IMRC community and hope you continue to use the site often. The information and accuracy of the comments is going to get better and better by eliminating the cash incentive, so the site should provide even greater value to you going forward.

The above message states that not only is the “referral program” removed from IMReportCard, but also the ability to convert credits earned to cash payments via PayPal. This means that IMReportCard no longer pays cash to its members, instead you’ll be able to convert your credits to virtual “cash” that can be used to purchase membership at internet marketing sites, or internet marketing materials.

Shocked much?

Me, not so much…

With the delay in response from the Admins about the issue, I was certain that it was going to be for the worst, and I was right.

This change is unfair to ALL members of the site who believed their participation was earning them some extra cash.

IMReportCard has always stood their ground about being a site that’s not for “making money online” but for real reviews of products, services, and people in the internet marketing world.

While I agree with their stand, they should have launched the site this way in the beginning without offering any sort of compensation for being a member.

Would they have less members and possibly less success? Sure, but they’d probably grow with time if they did all the right things for the website SEO wise. And, the members that DID partake in the reviews of the site, would be doing so wholeheartedly, with no expectation of compensation.

My prediction for IMReportCard is that activity will drop in a MAJOR way. I’m not saying that the majority of users were there to only make money, but it definitely was nice getting something in return for your experiences and the time you took out of your busy schedules to write them.

Why would I “waste my time” writing reviews and building their content on IMReportCard for nothing in return, when I could be writing my OWN reviews here on my blog (to build MY content) or spending that time working on my SEO and SERP for this blog, which WILL make me money in return.

I’m not a chess player, but I am positive that this is one of those times that you’d say “Checkmate IMReportCard”.

I am not the only one that feels this way. Like I mentioned before, read the thread started in the IMRC forum about this exact issue and you’ll find a lot of other members that share my exact sentiments.

Forum Thread: IMReportCard – No Referral Points?

As one of the members “wahmaholic” said in that thread, all good things do come to an end.

I mentioned in my previous post that one of my referrals got banned and so left me with a negative balance of -3000 credits.

Well her balance is -28,940 since the same thing happened to her.

Is it fair to us to spend what might take hours and hours rebuilding that balance to a positive number all on our own, and only to get “memberships” and “products” in return? Mind you, they didn’t even say which ones! I think I’d rather spend my time more productively.

I have cashed out 61,319 credits on IMReportCard since I’ve been a member. This translates to $613.19!

That’s the thing with making money online, things change all the time, and you have to be ready for the change. I’m definitely ready. My run on IMRC was good while it lasted but I will no longer be a very active member on their website. My goal on this blog is to make money online, not “products and memberships”. I will use the time I spent promoting and participating on their site to focus on things that increase my search engine rank on this blog for the keywords “make money online free“.

To my referrals that signed up to this site when I highly recommended it, I hope you used it to your advantage when you had the chance. I know for sure at least one person that told me IMReportCard helped them pay for textbooks.

Again, will I go so far as to call IMReportCard a scam? Probably not, only because they stated their cause ever since the beginning. Never once did they claim to be “make money online” site. They always were a review site. The site still stands for what it is, however, participation is now free on your behalf. Unless you’re interested in ebooks you’ll never read, or internet marketing products you’ll probably never know how to use, then I suggest investing your time elsewhere.

Notice I have now removed IMReportCard from my list of ways to make money online.

A few months ago, everytime I did a “total earnings update”, IM Report Card would be one of my top money makers.

However, recently, I haven’t had as much time to participate on the site, and because I’ve been a member for a while, the number of things I can comment on are limited. I’ve probably commented on all the products/programs/sites that I’ve used or that I’m a member of. With that said, while it’s still easy to make money on IMReportCard by grading or rating, it definitely would take a while to add up.

Also, about a month ago, one of my referrals got banned for using the site the wrong way. The bad thing about their referral program, is that when one of your referrals get banned, the points that they earned and earned you, automatically get deducted from your account as well, EVEN THOUGH you were not responsible for the fraud that they committed. Therefore, because of one of my referral’s wrong doing, my account balance on IMReportCard is now a negative number. In order to reach payout again of 2000 credits, I will need to cancel out this negative number and bring my account back to 0, and then continue earning my way to 2000 credits. That could definitely take a while.

I always found this to be a fault of their “referral program”, however, I never complained because of the fact that they matched your referral earnings 100%. That is extremely high for any site.

However, and a big however, in recent times, IM Report Card has now removed their referral program!

That means you no longer get paid anything for having people sign up under you.

While I agree that 100% referral commission is very high, I do not agree with them removing it completely. I believe that there are many options and routes they could have taken, such as:

1. Lessen the referral commission. Eg. instead of matching 100% of referral earnings, IMRC could have matched 25%

2. Limit the amount that could be earned from referrals. Eg. after earning 500 credits, you earn no more from that specific referral.

3. Give a fixed amount of credits for each new referral. Eg. for every referral you receive 50 or 100 credits added to your account, however you do not earn credits from the comments/grades/etc that they post.

Besides finding an alternative to removing the referral program completely, a lot of IMReportCard members are upset that there was no notice about this drastic change in the website. There was no email or post on the forum. A thread has been started by another member on the forum, and there was no reply by an Admin or member of staff either even after about two weeks or so.

I have shared these opinions of mine in this thread on the IMRC forum. You can read my opinions and also other members opinions about the removal of the referral program here: IMReportCard Removes Referral Program.

While I will not call IMReportCard a scam, since they definitely do pay, I am very disappointed in the way that IMRC staff has handled this change.

However you can still make money at IMReportCard by commenting, voting, grading and rating products, services, and people. At least for now…

Hope everyone had a productive week. Mine was hectic, but at the same time, enjoyable. Here are a few payments I’ve received recently.

Pinecone Research paid me for completing one of their surveys last week. They actually sent the payment the following day, after I completed the survey. Doing surveys online is an easy way you can make money in your spare time. Pinecone Research pays $3 per survey completed. They usually send me about 3 or 4 surveys per month, more or less. This money easily adds up and can be used to put towards a bill, buy gas (even though I don’t own a car), buy food, etc. It’s easy money that takes less than 10 minutes of your time online.

YouData which is a “paid to click” site, has also sent me a payment. This site pays on time every Friday! You can make a few extra dollars to even buy a gallon of milk, just by clicking and viewing some ads online for a few minutes of your time.

And last but not least, if you’d like another way to earn money in your spare time online, Cloud Crowd is an easy way to do so. Cloud Crowd is a Facebook application that connects people that want to work, with people that want work done. How this application works, is that companies provide Cloud Crowd with descriptions of simple tasks they want done. Eg, labeling, categorizing, summarizing, etc. This is easy work that can be done from the comfort of your home and you will be compensated with cash via PayPal.

These are three extremely easy ways to make money from home in your own time. These jobs are extremely flexible and you can work from home whenever you like, and make money online free.

These payments add up to $4.02, and bring my total earnings online to $5480.82!

So sorry about not posting recently.

Took the weekend to myself.. after all, it was the weekend of L.O.V.E., so I had to give that special person in my life the attention that he deserves.

I’d like to wish everyone a happy belated Valentine’s Day, and also happy President’s Day today, if you live in the U.S.

I was off today again from work, and so played catch-up with all my online duties.

Moderating on the forums, replying to emails, completing some surveys, doing some SEO on my blog… it’s like a constant job this online work. But I honestly don’t mind a bit of it, because at the end of the month when the payments come rolling in, it makes it all worth it!

Today, I’ll post a few more of the payments I’ve received over the past week.

The above is a payment I received from MaxBounty which is an affiliate marketing company. If you own a blog or site, affiliate marketing is one of the ways you can use your blog/site to make money online. I’ve done a few posts about affiliate marketing before and how it works, so just search around my blog and you’ll surely find it.

I also received the YouData payment above which is by far my favorite PTC (paid to click) site. You can make money online by clicking and viewing ads online.

These two payments add up to $120.92 and they bring my total earnings online to $5476.80.

It’s pretty amazing looking back at how far I’ve come with this “making money online” thing. If you look back at a post I did around last year’s Valentine’s Day, you might be surprised to see that I was quite happy with depositing my check for $53.90 from Cashcrate and I only had a total online earnings of $156.40!

That just goes to show if I can do it, so can you.

And speaking of Cashcrate and Valentine’s Day, Cashcrate has just announced their latest contest running for the rest of the month! 25 members who complete the most offers on Cashcrate from now until the end of the month will win some extra cash! First prize is $50!

I’ve been rolling out a bunch of new posts today because here in New York, it’s been declared a Snow Day. Everyone is off from school, and so, since I work with kids, I’m off from work as well. Here are two payments I received last week or so. One of them is from my favorite paid to click site, YouData, and the other is from another awesome paid survey site, Pinecone Research.

These two payments have a combined total of $4.27, and they bring my total earnings online to $5171.22!

My last post talked about a popular survey site, and whether it was a scam. Vindale Research Scam Or Legit discusses with screen-shots and proof of payment, how to make money on Vindale Research.

Today, I’m going to write about another popular survey site, Panda Research. Panda Research is similar to Vindale, however they might be a bit better since I found that they have a lot more surveys available that do not cost any money or require a credit card.

Panda Research is free to join and be sure to check your email and confirm your registration and also complete the short questionnaire upon confirming, because you receive $3 credited to your account after doing so!

The confirmation email looks like the image below, and would contain a link that says “Click here to confirm your registration to Panda Research” (Or something along those lines.)

There is a long list of offers available on Panda Research as you can see below. Many of them, usually the high paying ones, do require a credit card, however there are many others that do not! There’s also the “My Studies” tab, and “Easy Offers” tab, that contain many more free offers that do not require a credit card.

As you can also see from the above screenshot, my current balance is $7.03, after signing up in less than a day.

A break down of my earnings is as follows:
– $3 bonus for signing up and completing the registration survey.
– $4 for completing a free Insurance Quote. (Did not require a credit card)
– $0.03 for opening my first paid email.

Yes, Panda Research also sends out paid emails where you can also make money just for opening them and verifying that you’ve read it. This usually is done by clicking a link within the email.

* You must be at least 18 years old.
* You must be a resident of United States.
* The account information that you provide us must be accurate and complete. You must register using your valid email address only.

* Turn off your website accelerators.

Panda Research process 100% payments by PayPal. All payments are made in multiples of $50 USD. For example, if your balance is $52.70, you will receive a payment of $50 USD. If your balance is $102.70, you will receive a payment of $100 USD. In both examples, the remaining $2.70 will remain in your account and count towards a future payment.

Once you have reached the minimum payment threshold and requested payment from Panda Research, your payment will be sent within 30 days of that request. A random phone verification might be performed from the support department to keep fraud related activity in check.

One of the banners on my blog is for a company called Vindale Research. I’ve gotten a few questions about this site but so in today’s post, I’ll attempt to cover the basics of making money with Vindale Research.

I’ll try to use screen-shots in my explanations so that it’s a bit clearer. All images are re-sized to fit my layout, however clicking on them will open a full sized version of the image in another window.

Vindale Research is a company that specializes in the evaluation of online products and services. They compensate their members for evaluating various products, services, and processes.

While Vindale Research is free to join, be aware that most of their “evaluations” (or surveys) do require a credit card to participate.

What is an evaluation?
Evaluations are like “trial offers”, where the members gets compensated for trying a particular product or service. For example, if you’ve always wanted to try “NetFlix”, but never got around to doing it, you can try it through Vindale Research and get paid. You will be required to use your credit card obviously. Some trial offers also have a trial fee, or shipping and handling cost, etc, while others are absolutely free and you will not be charged if you cancel the trial before the time limit given.

Does all the “surveys” require the use of a credit card?
No. While many surveys do require a credit card to complete the product evaluation portion of the survey, many survey opportunities and invitations do not.

Vindale Research has a few ways to earn.

If you look at the screen-shot below, you’d see how the site looks after logging in.

In the image above, you can see three tabs; My Surveys, My Studies, and Vindale Deals.

You can complete “surveys” (or evaluations), some of which are free, and others which require a credit card. In the screen shot above, the ones payout out more (more than $2 or so), usually require a credit card, while the ones that pay out $1 and $0.50 are usually free.

You can also click on the “My Studies” tab, and you’ll see a page that looks like the image below.

These “studies” are surveys which are 100% free to participate in. Be sure to check often because the reason some of mine say closed, is because they’ve already gotten enough participants for the survey and do not need anymore.

And off course, you’ll see the newest tab on Vindale Research that says Vindale Deals.

This is like a “CashBack” option that Vindale has started where you get a portion of the money you spend at some popular retailers, back. It’s just another way that you can shop and earn with Vindale Research

So how are payments sent on Vindale?

Payments are automatically processed on the 15th and last day of every month. On these days, if your verified balance is greater than or equal to $50 USD and you have requested payment, you will automatically receive an email about the steps necessary to accept payment. Please note that transactions to and from PayPal always take a few days to process. Members who do not wish to use Paypal can choose to receive their payments via paper check. Check payments are processed on the same day as PayPal payments but may take up to 2 weeks to receive via US postal mail.

Now since I’ve joined this company, I personally have had so much going on that I haven’t been completing a lot of surveys like I should and so I haven’t personally met payout. However, I’ve done some research and found someone that did in fact get paid. Here’s a proof of payment from another blogger.

If you’re a regular reader, you’ll know that a couple blog posts ago, I officially crossed the $5000 mark of total money I’ve made online since I started this “make money online free” journey back in October of 2008.

It seems like a long time ago, but it’s really not. That year and a few months went by so extremely fast for me, that I can’t even believe it’s been so long since I started this blog. I guess it just shows how time flies.

I’m extremely proud of myself for reaching this milestone, and it proved to me that I really can do anything I put my mind to, including being able to work from home and make money online free in my spare time.

Whether it’s by taking easy surveys for money, or being able to make money blogging, you too can get started on a journey of making money online, and if you put your mind to it, you can make just as much or even much more than me.

Today, I’m going to post my total earnings online for the month of January 2010, and I’ll do a quick breakdown of where that money came from.

Cashcrate – $184.66

Squishy Cash – $51.59

IM Report Card – $50.88

Dollar Click or Sign Up – $33.73

Deal Barbie Pays – $25.04

Affiliate Marketing (MaxBounty) – $133.25

Google adsense – $115 (only a rounded down figure because I’m not positive Google’s policy is okay with member’s saying how much they earn with their program.)

Swagbucks – $25

YouData – $4.56

Pinecone Research – $3

SurveyHead – $26.50

Cloud Crowd – $0.81

That gives me a total of $654.02. Remember it is rounded down because of the Google Adsense amount, so the actual amount I’ve made is a tad higher.

Either way, over $650 a month in free money online is a lot more than I bargained for when I first started my journey of learning how to make money online.

I believe this has been one of my best months yet, and I’m so proud of my success. I’m very happy that I keep this blog as well because besides teaching others that it is possible to make money online free without getting scammed, I’ve also been able to track and record my earnings so it will definitely make it a lot easier for me come tax time!

I hope if you leave this blog with anything at all, it’s the inspiration that you can do anything you put your mind to. Even if that isn’t making money online like I do… but anything at all. As long as you stay focused and dedicated to your goal, you can definitely achieve it.

My goal for next month’s earnings is as usual, to try and increase it. But like I said before, this is much more than I expected when I first started this journey so I’m very grateful for my current earnings.
